Religion Islam is the ultimate source of Guidance and fortification for humankind. They call upon their lord when in misery and despair for their physical and mental soothing. In Quran Allah says
“And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.” [2:186]

“And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful." [21:83]

Indeed the remembrance of Allah soothes hearts and He is the mere one to cure the ailments. In Quran Allah asks His creation to seek His mercy in pain by making following prayer:
“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.” [26:80]
From Sunnah
Sunnah is the way of Prophet (PBUH) and following his way of life is obligatory for every Muslim who loves Allah. In Quran Allah says:
“There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful.” [9:128]
The love and affection of Prophet Muhammad for his Ummat was immense and is crystal clear from the aforementioned verse. Following his Sunnah when in excruciating pain or in any major disease surely, can relief all pains.
1. 4 Qul for cure of any illness
Whenever Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was ill it was his custom to recite 4 Qul and then to ask for ease and mercy of Allah. Hazrat Ayesha (RA) narrates that:
“When Prophet Mohammad (SAW) was ill, he used to recite the four Quls, blow on his hands and pass them over on the back and front. He also recited these surahs, blew on his hands, and passed them over his body during his fatal illness.” [Bukhari and Muslim]
2. Surah Fateh as Ruqyah
Ruqyah is Arabic word meaning charm and incantation. Surah Fateh has been termed as Ruqyah, the relieving prayer against all spells by Prophet (PBUH). In Hadith Abu Saeed Al Khudri narrates it as:
“Jibril came to the Prophet and said: "O Muhammad! Are you suffering?" He said: "Yes." He said: "In the Name of Allah, I recite a prayer (Ruqyah) over you, from the evil of every person and evil eye. In the Name of Allah I recite a prayer (Ruqyah) over you, may Allah cure you.” [Tirmidhi]
